Group runs help motivate our members to get out and run in the cold or heat or rain or snow. Regardless of your pace, you can join us and likely find someone that will run close to your time. Each week, we have 5 organized group runs that occur from Tuesday - Sunday. All are welcome to join us on our group runs. All you need to do is show up at the designated location and time. We are sure you will eventually you will want to become a member!
If you can make it, simply let someone know it's your first time, and you will be welcomed with open arms to experience a JSRC group run. Check back here for details or check the Facebook group page for any updates.
This is our Northernmost group run. The run starts and runs back and forth on the Long Branch, Boardwalk. As of January 15, ☆ new start location! ☆ meet on the south end of the boardwalk, Brighton ave, beach entrance (west end). We meet at in Long Branch at 6:00 PM (6:30 in summer) We do a 4-6 mile run along the boardwalk and around Lake Takanasseee passing the Dr. George Sheehan Memorial. Come join the cool kids every week at 6:00 PM!

Ocean Grove is home to 2 of our weekly group runs. We meet at 6:30 PM on the Boardwalk (Main & Ocean Aves) right by the flag pole. We typically head out south on the boardwalk and run through Bradley Beach, Avon, Belmar and Spring Lake and then back to Ocean Grove. Sometimes we head north into Asbury Park. Join us and run anywhere from 3-10 miles with the great group of regulars. If you show up on the right night, the group picture might be clear enough to prove that you were there.

Thursday mornings 6:00 AM - Belmar
The JSRC is pleased to announce our newest group run. Going by the name "Rise 'n Shine", it's geared toward runners who like to get up and get their run done before starting their work day. This group meets every Thursday around 6:00 a.m. on the boardwalk in Belmar, near Dunkin Donuts. ( 16th Avenue & Ocean Avenue) Members and non-members are invited to join in on the run.

** THURSDAY GROUP RUN starts out of CONVENTION HALL in Asbury Park **
The Thursday group run starts at 6 PM in either Belmar or Asbury Park depending on the time of year. For the winter months, we are meeting at Convention Hall in Asbury Park. We usually go 4-6 miles on the well-lit boardwalk which is a very safe place to run. Occasionally some will extend the run for 8 miles. We have a steady group comprising all paces & experience levels. All paces are welcome.
** We usually go out to dinner afterward, so bring your appetite as well! **

SUNDAY RUNDAY is our other group run that meets in Ocean Grove. We start at 8:00 AM ( 7:00 AM in the summer) on the Boardwalk (Main & Ocean Aves) right by the flag pole. We typically head out south on the boardwalk and run through Bradley Beach, Avon, Belmar and Spring Lake and then back to Ocean Grove. Sometimes we head north into Asbury Park. Join us and run anywhere from 3-10 miles with the great group of regulars. When its marathon training season, don't be surprised if runners are getting in between 12 and 20 miles. If you show up late, you will likely start in Wave 2.

BODMAN PARK group run:
Meet at Bodman Park just off Navesink River Road at 8:00 a.m. Meet at the Clubhouse (Market Street, Middletown). Groups run from 6 to 22 miles mostly on trails through Hartshorne Woods Park & Huber Woods & the surrounding areas with scenic views. There are plenty of hills and it's a perfect run for marathon training. There are water stops & refreshments at the end. There is also the opportunity to walk on Sunday mornings.
