Congratulations to Special Award Winners: Pat Abbott ("Al McKean Volunteer of the Year" Award) , Manolo Teijelo (Sprit Award) and Karen Kelly & John O'Gorman (President's Award)

And Congratulations (and thanks)  to the 2019-2021 JSRC Board of Directors, especially the newly elected for the first time. Your volunteerism as a club officer is what makes the JSRC one of the best clubs in NJ.

OceanFirst Bank Center on the Monmouth University campus in West Long Branch is a an excellent indoor track and field venue, and that point will be driven home seven times this winter. Monmouth University head coach Joe Compagni and his staff already have scheduled "Showcase" meets that are open to athletes of all ages and abilities...designed for community participation, including school, college and club athletes.

• Pole Vault - total of 16 competitors.
• Shot Put - 32 competitors - 16 per gender.
• 55 Hurdles - 72 competitors - 36 per gender
• 55 Dash - 72 competitors - 36 per gender

• 400 - 72 competitors - 36 per gender
• 1 Mile Race Walk unlimited
• 4x200 Relay unlimited

Event is Rain or Shine.

Join us for the 15th Annual JSRC Twilight 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk on the Manasquan Beach Walk and back to Leggett's Sand Bar for the post run/walk celebration. This is a FUN RUN - Runners, walkers and friends are all welcome. JSRC contributes a portion of its race proceeds to Manasquan Women's Club and Manasquan Common Ground Grief Center .

The 16th Annual Manasquan Mid-Winter Beach Run was held Saturday, Feb 16th.

2019 FIVE MILE RUN registration has reached it's limit and is CLOSED.

Joe Renzella Awards Ceremony
Friday, February 15th. EVENT IS at 7 PM ...please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes early to get a seat and not interrupt the ceremony.

Please come out and honor a great man and American hero in our very own running community, Joe Renzella. Jaime Hrzic will be presenting Joe Renzella with 2 awards - good conduct medal (3rd award) for the period 13 Feb.1970 through 12 Feb 1973 and the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service during the period 18 Oct 1968 to Sep.1969.

Joe was drafted into the Army in 1964 and served 10 years, doing 3 tours in Vietnam. He earned a total of thirty-five decorations for his bravery and valor under fire. Including nine Battle Stars; four Bronze Stars (two "With Valor", the highest designation); a Purple Heart and a Vietnamese Staff Service Medal, Second Class, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, nine Campaign Stars, two Good Conduct Medals, two Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, six Overseas Combat Bars and three Service Stripes.

Anyone that knows Joe knows of his patriotism to our great country and his kind spirit. He is a very active member of JSRC always out there running with the flag in his patriotic attire. Please come out and honor Joe. There will be food from the VFW and a cash bar so if you plan on attending please RSVP on this event post or message Jaime Gallagher Hrzic. Thank you!

Tuesday Night Group Run new start location

Long Branch, Boardwalk
As of January 15, ☆ new start location! ☆ meet on the boardwalk, Brighton ave, beach entrance (west end)
We meet at in Long Branch at 6:00 p.m. (6:30 in summer) We do a 4-6 mile run along the boardwalk and around Lake Takanasseee passing the Dr. George Sheehan Memorial.
